What’s in Your Crates… It’s Time for a Full Exhibit Inventory

July 31st, 2019 News

Your trade show has ended! Another successful outing for your business. Time to pack up and get back to the office to process all of the new clients your trade show exhibit has pulled in. Quickly dump everything into your storage crates and get out as soon as possible.

Does this sound familiar? Do you and your associates pack up and move on until the next trade show? If this is the case, chances are you have a shipping crate or two filled with who knows what! Of course, your trade show booth is in there, but what else made its way back? Did all of your literature and promotional giveaways get packed? What about your graphics? Are they shoved in a bag or were they packed away correctly to avoid wrinkles? These are just some of the questions you may find yourself asking as you begin to prepare for your next show.

Let’s start with the basics, what’s in your crate? If you’re not sure, then it’s time to take a full exhibit inventory. Be proactive and find out well in advance of your next trade show.

Here are just a few things you should be looking for:

  • Check your graphics
  • Count your brochures
  • Count your promotional giveaways
  • Access your booth for damages
  • Inspect your monitors and tablets
  • Cabinet lock keys
  • Unnecessary items
  • Trash

There are a number of items that could have made their way into your exhibit’s storage container as everything was packed up. Grapevine Visual Concepts’ suggests taking a complete inventory of your storage crates. Know what you have and what you need before arriving on the next show floor. We recommend opening your crates sooner than later to inspect for possible repairs, get dirty or wrinkled graphics dry-cleaned, or simply take out unnecessary items freeing up valuable storage space. Contact Grapevine Visual Concepts to learn how we can assist in the inventory process.
